You should search for folding the zine out of a single sheet of paper. I've seen some videos about it, how to orient your text and then fold it down to a cool zine with just a couple of scissor cuts.
Use bigger sheets of paper for a bigger end product. Pretty cool!
You'll do more than recruit a typer. Teach someone to put make their work in a publishable format (book) and you have a friend for life. Be sure, they won't forget Mr Adney in a hurry!
