As the sun began to set in the desert and the golden rays of the sun light up the mountains and cacti I made a delivery of typewriters to the Glendale Community College North campus for the exhibit. I was able to snag a few pictures of the campus and the typewriters in the library.
Very nice display space (:
ReplyDeleteA very professional and tidy exhibit indeed. Any of the machines acting as a guestbook?
ReplyDeleteI see reflections of plexiglass cubes in my dreams. Humidity controlled. And plinths.
ReplyDeleteSuch beauty... on all counts.
ReplyDeleteVery nice exhibit.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I'm sure visitors will enjoy the display.
ReplyDeleteCool!
ReplyDeleteThis is great. I love the Royal Mill and HH tandem.
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are the Corona 3, the Remington 12, the Olympia SG1 and the Selectric! Those exhibit cases look fantastic, they really showcase the machines. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteAs one who grew up with typewriters as respected but everyday tools (my first, an Olympia SM3) was acquired as a high school junior), it seems very odd, almost un-nerving, to see typewriters encased as untouchable museum exhibits. This is not to take anything at all from the display, which is admired. It is good to see typewriters celebrated.
ReplyDeleteIf a typewriter is not being typed upon, getting shown off for all and sundry to admire isn't a pretty satisfactory use for one's assets I reckon.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant, well done!
ReplyDeleteHow do you choose the "Magic Margin user of the month?"
